1. THE "KEY WARNING LIGHT IS ON and ACCORDING TO GOOGLE : A 2003 Jeep that cranks but won't start with a key light (Security Key Immobilizer Module - SKIM) indicates the computer does not recognize the key code, often caused by a failed SKIM module, faulty wiring, or a dead chip in the key. The engine may start for 1–2 seconds then die, or not start at all. Common Causes and Troubleshooting SKIM Module Failure: The security module around the ignition switch fails to recognize the key. Faulty Key: The transponder chip in the grey/brown key head is damaged. PCM/ECM Issues: A faulty Powertrain Control Module or a shorted sensor (like the crankshaft position sensor) can cause the key light to trigger and prevent start. Ignition Switch: A worn ignition switch can cause power loss to the security system.

- INTERIOR : OVERALL GOOD CONDITION, THE DRIVERS SEAT IS WORN. IM PRETTY SURE A LARGE PERSON WAS THE LAST OWNER OF THIS JEEP, YOU WILL WANT TO PURCHASE A REPLACEMENT DRIVER SEAT FROM JUNKYARD. THE REST OF THE INTERIOR NEEDS A DEEP CLEANING/DETAIL.
- OTHER OBSERVATIONS : TIRES LOOK GREAT AND ACCORDING TO CARFAX WERE REPLACED 4000 MILES AGO. OIL IS CLEAN, COOLANT IS CLEAN. UNDERCARRIAGE HAS NORMAL RUST BUT NOTHING BAD.
